Compliance Officer, MLRO (Dubai)

 

Role

GC Exchange is seeking an experienced compliance professional with extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks and digital assets to join our team as a Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). The Compliance Officer/MLRO is responsible for managing the compliance department's daily operations and maintaining the company's compliance and AML/CTF program in Dubai, while collaborating closely with our Compliance team in the UK and in Europe. This position reports directly to the Managing Director in Dubai.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the company's compliance framework, policies, and procedures are effectively upheld in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyse changes in regulations across key jurisdictions, advising the business on associated compliance risks and potential opportunities.
  • Engage with local regulatory authorities, ensuring the highest reporting standards are maintained and filings and responses to inquiries are submitted promptly,
  • Perform regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify any potential deficiencies and propose necessary corrective measures.
  • Educate and train employees on compliance standards, ensuring they adhere and are well-informed about internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and address any compliance violations or issues, ensuring timely reporting to regulatory bodies and senior management while collaborating with legal and managerial teams to resolve problems effectively.
  • Undertaking client onboarding/KYC
  • Supervise investigations of internal reports of known or suspected money laundering and/or terrorist financing activities and ensure appropriate STRs/SAR reports are submitted to appropriate authorities per their specifications and requirements.
  • Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary from time to time to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements throughout the region in alignment with the company’s global standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years AML/CTF and sanctions experience in a financial services firm. A previous appointment and regulator approval as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer are added benefits.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. MBA or other relevant compliance certifications are a plus.
  • Strong operational expertise in regulatory requirements for cryptoasset services in the UAE.
  • Experience with KYC, CDD/EDD, Transaction Monitoring, Risk Assessments, Reporting (SAR/STRs) and Travel Rule.
  • Ability to effectively present AML/CTF and sanctions topics to internal and external parties. This includes senior management, regulatory bodies, auditors, and banking partners.
  • Experience in compliance risk management within a consultancy, compliance function, or regulator.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; at ease communicating and presenting to senior management.

Compliance and KYC Analyst (London)

 

Role

We are seeking a proactive Compliance and KYC Analyst to join our team. This role focuses primarily on client onboarding and KYC processes, supporting the Head of Compliance & MLRO in ensuring the firm’s adherence to regulatory requirements. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on experience in compliance while contributing to the firm's operational integrity.

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding / KYC / KYB:

  • Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks to ensure all clients meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Review and verify client documentation, including identification, proof of address, source of funds / wealth and corporate structure details.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of onboarding activities.
  • Ensure all client KYC profiles are complete, accurate, and up-to-date in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform ongoing KYC reviews for existing clients, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

First-Line Compliance Support:

  • Assist in responding to compliance-related queries regarding onboarding and KYC processes.
  • Provide operational teams with the necessary tools and resources to adhere to KYC best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring client transactions to identify potential suspicious activity.

Record-Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain compliance logs, records and systems in line with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Assist in preparing KYC and onboarding reports for management review, supporting the Head of Compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a KYC role or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and compliance principles.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to adapt to working in a fast-paced environment

Role

We are seeking a dynamic and technology-driven Marketing and CRM Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to lead on HubSpot email marketing, digital campaigns, CRM implementation and HubSpot strategy across GCEX Group. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing, CRM management, and understanding of capital markets. This role will report to the Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CRM Management:
    • Oversee the administration and optimisation of the HubSpot CRM system to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
    • Driving marketing excellence through HubSpot Sales Hub, Marketing Hub, CMS Hub and Service Hub.
    • Implement and optimise workflows to automate processes to deliver best-in-class CX and ensure seamless integration with other tools.
    • Manage properties, forms and other elements of HubSpot.
    • Develop and implement segmentation strategies to target specific client groups effectively.
  • Email Marketing Campaigns:
    • Plan, execute, and manage email marketing campaigns to promote GCEX's services and products.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling content and email sequences tailored to our target audience.
    • Utilise marketing automation tools to streamline campaign workflows and enhance lead generation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

We are transitioning from a QuickBooks-based accounting to a powerful accounting tool to improve the performance of the finance team. We are looking for someone driven and keen to learn about the brokerage & crypto industry. The role will be mainly office-based (3/4 days at the London office).

  • Process and maintain accounts payable records
  • Raising monthly invoices and booking into our BO system
  • Bank and other balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Weekly review of expenses ensuring the relevant back-ups are attached and are in line with the company policy
  • Setting up payment runs
  • Treasury management support – including cash posting into BO system
  • Prepayments, accruals and depreciation
  • Daily client money calculation
  • Escalation of issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Ad hoc reporting and information request

Crypto and FX Operational Analyst (Glasgow, Dubai)

 

Team & Role Profile

Trading Operations is a team of dedicated professionals in charge of GCEX's trading and client operational processes. To improve processes and reduce risk, the team collaborates closely with Sales, Technology and Finance, as well as introducing and implementing new products and services. At all times we are focused on providing excellent customer service, offering client support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This role is based in our offices in Glasgow or Dubai.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately settling and documenting daily transactions (daily reconciliation).
  • Identifying and managing operational risks.
  • Providing tailored trading and technology solutions to meet client needs.
  • Management of clients’ day-to-day requirements.

 

Candidate requirements

  • Knowledge of derivative products preferable, including currencies/FX, commodities, crypto assets or other OTC derivatives.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, including interfacing across all levels with vendors and clients.
  • Capability to lead and contribute to technical client-facing presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work to stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to partner with colleagues across functions and lead effectively across geographical boundaries.
